So just what it is all this licensing stuff? Let’s break it down in the simplest form. Basically a license is nothing but permission to use something under certain conditions. Whether it’s music or other types of licenses. Here at Beats for Budgets I try to make it as simple and straight forward as possible. So let’s break these 3 licensing options down even further, real quick.

  1. Basic License: This one is for recording vocals or whatever other type of audio you have to the beat.
  2. Standard License: This option is for putting the beat; with or without vocals to video.
  3. Premium License: This last license includes the Basic & Standard options plus performing concerts & shows.
  4. Free Beat License: You can do whatever you want with the beat under this license as long as it’s not for profit.

For specific details pertaining to each license, please refer to the detailed licensing options of each individual license above or contact me.

Which Option is Best for You?

  • If You Need to Perform Your Recording(s) Publicly – Need to Place Your Recording(s) to Visual Medium (ex: Music Videos) – Need all Professional Revenue Generating Options – Have a Large Overall Fan Base:
Then the PREMIUM LICENSE would be the best option for you to go with. This licensing option is more tailored for the established artist. Consider these factors here; you make pretty good money from your music & have a large fan base, get lot’s of internet views and song downloads, then buying beats for you is truly an investment. So, with a premium license, to make sure you get the most out of your investment, why not tap into all revenue streams with a premium license? You get all income from sales on every available medium (physical & digital), downloads/audio cd’s, music video ad monetization (ex:Youtube) plus, public performing rights (Generating Income from Ticket Sales at Shows & Concerts). Also, remixing and rearranging the beat is possible with the included high quality stem files (individual instrumentation/samples) in .wav format that come with the purchase of a premium license. This gives you full control over the beat.
  • If  You Need to Place Your Recording(s) to Visual Medium (ex: Music Videos) – Looking to Mainly Make Money Online with Audio Streams & Downloads/Physical CD’s – Have a Large Online Presence or Fan Base:
Then the STANDARD LICENSE would definitely be the best option for you. This license is tailored more for the artist who’s final product is geared more towards audio tracks & music videos online and not performing live shows & concerts. Let’s face it, lot’s of artist’s these days with a big online following are making a killing with just uploading music videos to the internet and making money from the advertisements alone on their videos… Not even actually selling the music! If you happen to be that person, then for the price of an investment for a standard license, it’s nothing but easy money. Even if you don’t have a large online following, the return on investment for a standard license is minimal. Especially if you’re growing! When you’re ready for concerts and shows you can always upgrade your license at anytime. Just contact me here.
  • If You’re Just Starting Out – Want to See what You Can do with an Instrumental – Just Need a Track ASAP to Record Vocals to – Not Looking to Make a Video:
Then the BASIC LICENSE is just what you need. This licensing option is specifically tailored for the 1st timers or beginning artists. With this option you get a ready made, high quality track that you can record to.  If you’re ready to test the waters with your rhyme skills, put an album together, not in need of a music video to put your recorded song too and need something simple to demo, then this licensing option has you covered. Maybe you’re still in the bedroom, the house or backroom making songs, or maybe even on a very limited budget or want to test your skills, then paying for licensing options you don’t need makes no sense. The basic license is truly what you need. A quality beat ready for vocals and that’s it. When you’re ready to upgrade to play the field on making some alternate income with videos or shows, you can always upgrade your license at anytime. Just contact me here.
